Inside launched at Tom Dixon's pop-up restaurant Parlement during Milan's annual furniture fair, the hottest date in the design calendar, with an exclusive dinner. Attended by design luminaries including Yves Behar, Fabio Novembre, and Inside jury chair Ilse Crawford, award-winning chef Stevie Parle treated guests to an unusual feast made from Milan's freshest produce, including mix-your-own spice concoctions and the rather wonderful monksbeard.

Diners were treated to an impromptu speech by Marcel Wanders who, inspired by the buzz of the evening and supporting Inside's vision, talked about the importance of collaboration for design, designers and the wider design community. Liberal kissing ensued, prompted tweet frenzies from, among them, interior designer Naomi Cleaver! A brilliant beginning for our new festival.
