Kian is the co-founder of MLKK Studio, an architectural design studio based in Hong Kong. Her early career focuses on innovative material exploration and small scale architectural design. She gathered a vast portfolio in design and built projects on interior and furniture scale which populated in Asia and Australia. Kian currently focuses on innovative social projects and sustainability rural architectural development, and recent projects include designing rural schools for ethnic minorities in Myanmar and community centres for the underprivileged in Coastal Kenya. Her design interest began during her graduate study in Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT) Master of Architecture, which her thesis focused on future social domestic living in High-dense urban environments. Kian’s work with the studio received multiple international interior and architecture awards. Kian is a registered Architect in the US and also a Certified Passivhaus Designer.
